Mine still whines frum tyme ta tyme bowt a cat she used ta hav that used the 'wisker up the noze' taktik to get her up. his wisker, her noze. ya mite wanta try it. she sez the effekt is elektrik and immeedeeyut. ya'd have to put up wit a fayr amownt of swattin and hollerin once itz dun, but it myte be wurth tryin. frum tyme ta tyme. maybe not inna 'dezpritly lyte on pelleds' kind of emergencee but in an emergencee kind of emergencee.
Sisko prefers the "I'm just gently patting your face with the barest hint of claws because I love you" routine. "Oh, and if I happen to wake you up and you happen to want to feed me, that would be fine."
I don't know who trained our new cat, Scruffy, but he is just so polite. He jumps up on to the chest of drawers -- at first light I'm guessing, so he can look out of the window at the birds and the rabbits from above. And there he stays until one of us decides to get up!
we isn't efen aloud inna human's den--she has a lergy to us--but that don't keep us frum yellin' loud enuf (an' rattlin' the door enuf) out inna hallway to put 'em on alert!!!
our mommer sez to tell the wooman that is a great picture!!

Oh yeah....I remember this technique.
ReplyDeleteGeiger's method is the combing-of-hair- with-claws.That reminds me...where are the clippers?
My 2 "Cad" alarms also alert me to
ReplyDeletelunch time
dinner time
and last but not least, snack time.
The wooman's timing with this photograph was perfect. Are you letting the Smoothman and the Wooman sleep through the night with no Eeeeeeep?
ReplyDeleteThat is much better than my technique of batting electrical cords and then pretending to chew them. It wakes the staff up but they are quite grumpy.
